The idea of social enterprise came through because of the experience of funding cuts which was massively affecting members of the forum to access different services. Based on a deep understanding of the needs and lived experience of refugees and asylum seekers Visible Outcomes was set up to initiate projects which will generate money to support forum members. After attending the conference by Professor Muhammed Yunus at the University of Salford and the 7 principles laid down by Professor himself it further inspired us to set up social enterprise to respond to emerging needs of the members and make a change in their lives and empower them to live in an independent life. The idea for this social business has reached his mature stage and is being developed through partnership working with representatives from Local Authority, University of Salford, Voluntary Organizations, Housing Associations and many other relevant groups.
